What do I do if I have an invalid or unverified USI?
You must check your name and date of birth recorded with Flinders University and the USI Registry are an exact match.
Your USI will be invalid or unverified if your name (first name, middle name, and family name) and/or date of birth does not match the USI Registry exactly.
If you are notified your USI is invalid;
- Log into the USI Registry System
- Select 'Update Personal Details' (you don't need to change anything, just have a look)
- Your personal details should be displayed. Your name in the Flinders student system needs to be an exact character match to these details for your USI to validate. Also check that your name(s) are displayed in the same fields.
How do I update my details?
- If you need to update your details with Flinders University to match the USI Registry, follow the instructions at Change Personal Details FAQ.
- If you need to update your details in the USI Registry to match the Flinders student system, follow the instructions on the USI website at Update your Details.
- If you are unsure why there is a mismatch, please submit an AskFlinders request and include a screen shot of your name in the USI Registry for us to assess.
