An ‘Intention to Submit’ is an optional milestone for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students. It is completed by submitting a short form in Inspire, with the following information:
- Your planned thesis submission date
- Your updated thesis title (if this has changed)
- Details of any examiners, disciplines or groups that you do not wish to examine your thesis.
Completing this milestone prompts your supervisors to begin the process of nominating examiners, and lets them know if there is anyone that you DO NOT want to examine your thesis.
This milestone is not compulsory, but is strongly recommended and does not take long to complete.
