Online Plus candidature (previously ‘external’) means your usual research location is not near a Flinders campus but some of your research needs to be conducted ‘in person’ as well as online.

Online candidature means your research doesn’t need to be conducted ‘in person’ and can be undertaken using online resources only. HDR students often transfer to this mode when they are writing up their thesis late into their candidature.

To determine if you can enrol in either Online Plus or Online mode, you will need to discuss details of your proposed research program with your potential supervisor. If you both agree your research will be conducted in Online Plus mode, you and your supervisor must complete this form to confirm resourcing requirements.

In person mode is the only study mode available to Overseas students studying in Australia on a student visa.
