Students seeking to transfer a Higher Degree Research project to Flinders from another university (or re-enrol at Flinders) will need to complete the regular online application process – refer to How to Apply.
When submitting an online application, the following information needs to be included:
- Evidence of progress and work completed to date eg draft chapters, milestones passed – upload at ‘Research experience’ question
- A ‘completion plan’ to provide an estimate of the period of enrolment required at Flinders – upload at ‘Research outline’ question
- A statement from current university of HDR enrolment details -if possible, including consumed EFTSL (Equivalent Full-time Student Load): this would be credited to any Flinders enrolment – upload at ‘Academic details’ question
- Evidence of any scholarship held including dates/ funding amount (in case the Flinders supervisor intends to offer/match scholarship)
- Details of any project requirements eg ethics clearances, intellectual property agreements, etc
International students within the first 6 months of their Higher Degree by Research at another university who want to accept a Flinders University offer must seek release approval from their university before a Flinders Confirmation of Enrolment can be issued.
Domestic students enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research who accept their Flinders University offer must provide a statement of withdrawal from their current university before Flinders can enrol them and determine their Research Training Program fee offset entitlements.
