Why do I need to complete a milestone?

The HDR Milestones process allows for students, supervisors, Colleges and the University to be able to monitor progress toward timely completion within the allocated time for the degree. The milestones are a compulsory review in which a snapshot of the current progress of a student can be captured. The Milestones allow for goals to be set, progress to be measured, concerns to be raised and is a record for reflection in the future. The Milestones also provide an opportunity to have open communication between students, supervisors, Colleges and the University regarding any concerns that may impede on success.
