Undertaking all the necessary pre-placement checks, and ensuring you are compliant to commence a placement, will help protect you from possible health and safety risks. Flinders University and your placement ‘host organisation’ have a duty of care to ensure your safety as well as the safety of those you work with. By law, there are also a number of requirements you need to meet to undertake your placement.
