How do I extend my HDR candidature?

PhD students who have been enrolled with a 3 year Expected Thesis Submission due date can apply for up to two 6 months full-time equivalent (FTE) extensions (Bridging Extensions) via the Extension of Candidature form in Inspire. These two 6 month (FTE) extensions are within the 4 year (FTE) allowable candidature whilst still remaining in-time.

HDR students may apply for extension of up to six months full-time equivalent (FTE) with an appropriate plan for completion within the period of extension. An extension beyond the maximum duration of Candidature will be subject to overtime fees.
