Yes. You must obtain permission from your co-authors if you wish to include their work in your Higher Degree by Research (HDR) thesis—by completing a Co-authorship approval form.
This is required for all co-authored work within the main body your thesis, regardless of whether the work is published.
The form should be submitted with your thesis, and will be provided to examiners. This ensures that examiners understand the external contributions to your thesis, and can assess your original contribution to knowledge.
