Australian citizens and students holding a permanent humanitarian visa are eligible to defer payment of university fees through the Australian Government’s Higher Education Loan Program (HELP).

  • Commonwealth supported students are eligible to apply for HECS-HELP*.
  • Fee-paying students are eligible to apply for FEE-HELP.
  • Commonwealth supported and fee-paying students are eligible to apply for SA-HELP to assist with payment of their Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF).
  • Commonwealth supported and fee-paying students wishing to complete some of their studies overseas on exchange are eligible to apply for OS-HELP.

*Commonwealth supported students who are permanent residents (but not Permanent Humanitarian visa holders) and New Zealand citizens are ineligible for HECS-HELP loans and must pay their fees in full by the due date.
