Smart, casual attire is the usual minimum dress standard for graduates and their guests. Shorts, t-shirts, thongs, joggers/trainers and other casual clothing or footwear are not considered appropriate. Business attire is also considered appropriate. Graduates may wish to take into account that academic gowns are predominantly black, are worn open at the front and also expose the lower arms.

Please be aware that most graduates will need to navigate a small number of steps up and down the stage, so very high heels may not be practical.

Graduates are welcome to wear traditional attire to their ceremony.
