Students can withdraw from topics by the census date without incurring a penalty or fee. Please carefully consider the impact of withdrawing from a placement topic. When a student withdraws from a clinical placement topic:
· Student progression may be impacted if the placement is a prerequisite for future enrolment
· The placement costs must still be paid by the University, meaning funds cannot be allocated to other student educational and experience tasks, activities and initiatives
· The placement position is not available for use by another student
· Placement providers may reduce or withdraw future placement opportunities
We do understand there are times when withdrawal is necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. If you need to withdraw from a placement topic, we recommend you email the PEP Unit as soon as possible to discuss your options and individual situation.
