Our River Journey program is an early intervention program available to select schools. River Journey encourages students to contemplate their educational choices and consider university as a post-high school option.
The program is delivered in two parts, starting with an interactive presentation at your school that aims to get students thinking about study pathways, barriers, opportunities, and careers and courses. Following the school presentation, students are invited to visit us, to experience being on campus and participate in workshop activities delivered by academic staff. Our current student ambassadors are also involved in running activities, including a student panel. Presentations and workshop activities can be tailored to align with school curriculum or relevant topics.
Presentations and visits are designed for different study levels and include:- Encounter program, years 6–7
- Navigator program, year 8
- Investigator program, years 9–10.
Please contact us to make a booking or find out more about the program.
Flinders also offers other programs for students in years 10, 11 and 12.
