If your offer is to your first preference it will be automatically accepted in your SATAC application on your behalf.
To accept an offer to a lower preference in your SATAC application, follow the instructions on the SATAC website.
In addition to responding to your offer via SATAC, you must also formally accept your offer in the Flinders Student System before you can commence enrolling.
To accept your offer:
- Access the Student System.
- Go to My Applications.
- The My Applications screen displays all the offers awaiting a response.
- Click Respond on the offer you want to accept.
- Review your offer and click Accept to proceed.
- You’ll receive a confirmation in the system.
Some courses require you to also enrol in at least one topic by a deadline, or your offer may lapse and your place will be offered to another applicant. These courses are:
- Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Bachelor of Speech Pathology
- Bachelor of Midwifery (Pre-registration)
- Bachelor of Clinical Science/Doctor of Medicine
- Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Occupational Therapy
- Bachelor of Medical Sciences (Vision Science)/Master of Optometry
- Bachelor of Exercise Science
- Bachelor of Exercise Science/Master of Exercise Physiology
- Bachelor of Human Nutrition combined with Bachelor of Exercise Science
- Bachelor of Human Nutrition
If you're not ready to start studying right now, you may be able to defer your offer for a whole year. You'll need to check your letter of offer, which will indicate if your course can be deferred or not. As not all courses can be deferred and not all students are eligible to defer.
If you’re a domestic student, you need to accept your offer in the student system before you can defer. Then, provided you haven't enrolled or you withdraw from any topics you have enrolled in, or you do not do any study in the course for two consecutive semesters, your offer will be automatically deferred for you. If you have accepted your offer and have enrolled in topics but now wish to defer, you'll need to withdraw from the topics before the census date. Go to Accept offer for more information.
